Don Magazine and Oharano Studio Gallery invite artists from around the world to submit portfolios for the 2026 Artist Residency Competition. Selected artists will receive a free two-week residency in Kyoto, with their work featured in Don Magazine Issue 14, releasing September 20, 2026.

Call for submissions: Theme Intersections
We're seeking written and visual works that chronicle these intersections. Send us your stories, poems, essays, and visual works that move through these crossings — where the personal and political blur and sharpen, and something unexpected emerges in the in-between.
